MINUTES OF special MEETING OF BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS

 thursday, december 27, 1962

The Board of County Commissioners met in special session on Thursday, December 27, 1962 in the Office of Frank E. Owens, Clerk of the Circuit Court, in Tavares at 2:00 p.m., with the following present:  Chairman Simpson, Commr., Theus, and Commr. Cowart for the purpose of discussing the rental of County-owned pumps and pipes.

The Board was called to order by Chairman Simpson.

Clerk Owens read a telegram from the Chairman of the Board of County Commissioners of Polk County re muck fires and requesting to rent pumps to extinguish same.

Motion by Commr. Theus, seconded by Commr. Cowart and carried, that Lake County rent to the Board of County Commissioners of Polk County two pumps and two miles of pipe for the sum of $10 per hour per unit, with the provision that the Polk County Board secure and guarantee the safety of the equipment, pay all cost of delivery, and return the equipment in as good condition as when received.
