MINUTES OF SPECIAL MEETING OF the BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS
TUESDAY – JANUARY 17, 1969
The Board of County Commissioners of Lake County, Florida, met in special session in the County Commissioners’ Room in the Courthouse, Tavares, Florida, on Friday, January 17, 1969, at 2:00 o’clock P.M. for the purpose of employing a County Agent to fill the vacancy created by the resignation of Earl M. Kelly.
The meeting was called to order by the Chairman with the following being present: Commrs. Thomas J. Windram, Chairman; James R. Carson, Jr., J. M. Hoskinson and Alex J. Macdonnell; and Clerk of the Circuit Court Frank E. Owens. Commissioner Kenneth VanAuken was not present.

Having previously reviewed the qualifications and experience of Jackson Alexander Haddox, Commr. Carson moved that Mr. Haddox be employed as Lake County Agricultural Agent effective April 1, 1969 at an annual salary of $15,400.00, payable $7,700.00 by the State of Florida and $7,700.00 by Lake County, with maximum travel expense of $1,660.00 annually. The motion was seconded by Commr. Hoskinson and unanimously carried.
There being no further business to bring before the Board, the meeting adjourned.
