MINUTES OF SPECIAL MEETING OF BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS

 tuesDAY – JUNE 10, 1969

The Board of County Commissioners of Lake County, Florida, convened in special session in the County Commissioners’ Room in the Courthouse, Tavares, Florida, on Tuesday, June 10, 1969, at 1:00 o’clock P.M. for the purpose of discussing budget requests with the various department heads and any other business which may be brought before the Board.

The Chairman called the meeting to order with the following members present:  Thomas J. Windram, Chairman:  Commissioners James R. Carson, Jr., Alex J. Macdonell, J. M. Hoskinson and Kenneth VanAuken.  Others present were County Attorney C. E. Duncan, Clerk of Circuit Court Frank E. Owens, and Deputy Clerk Doris Babb.

Mr. Delos Kane, representing the Lake Improvement Association, and Mr. Ed Zagar, from the Game & Fresh Water Fish Commission, were present with reference to a continued seining program in the County lakes.  On motion of Commissioner Carson seconded by Commissioner Hoskinson and carried, the Board agreed to enter into a reciprocal agreement with the Game & Fresh Water Fish Commission to continue the program to 100 sein hauls at an approximate cost of $150.00 per haul, or a total of $15,000.00 to be paid jointly by the Fish Commission and Lake County.

After discussion the budget requests, the Board recessed to June 17, 1979 at 1:00 o’clock P.M.
