MINUTES OF SPECIAL MEETING OF the BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS
wednesday – july 1, 1970
The Board of County Commissioners of Lake County, Florida, met in special session in the Commissioners’ Room in the Courthouse, Tavares, Florida, at 9:00 o’clock A.M. on Wednesday, July 1, 1970, for the purpose of considering budget requests and any other business which might be brought before the Board.
The Chairman called the meeting to order with the following members present: James R. Carson, Jr., Chairman; J. M. Hoskinson, Alex J. Macdonell, Thomas J. Windram, and Kenneth VanAuken. Also present were: Clerk of Circuit Court Frank E. Owens and Deputy Clerk Doris P. Babb.
Commr. Hoskinson moved since there is no official County Attorney as of today that the firm of Duncan and Ford be retained as to all court cases already in progress until further notice. The motion was seconded by Commr. Windram and unanimously carried.
