MINUTES OF special MEETING OF BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS

NOVEMBER 2, 1972

The Board of County Commissioners of Lake County, Florida, convened in special session in the Commissioners’ Room, Courthouse, Tavares, Florida, at 1:00 o’clock P.M. on November 2, 1972, regarding a federal grant request for the Community Services Complex and any other business which may be brought before the Board.

The Chairman called the meeting to order with the following members present:  Thomas J. Windram, Chairman; James R. Carson, Jr.; J. M. Hoskinson; and Kenneth VanAuken.  Others present were: Robert Stroud, Youth Services Bureau and Norma H. Coven, Deputy Clerk.

On motion of Commr. Hoskinson, seconded by Commr. VanAuken and unanimously carried, the Chairman was directed to sign a federal grant application for a continuing study of the Lake County Community Services Complex in amount of $20,959.84 to cover a one year period.  In addition to this grant, Lake County will pay $7,000.00 toward this project.

budget

On motion of Commr. Carson, seconded by Commr. VanAuken and unanimously carried, the Board approved the amended budget for 71/72 as submitted.

accounts allowed

On motion of Commr. Hoskinson, seconded by Commr. Carson and unanimously carried, the Board approved the expenditure of $2,000 for remodeling work to be accomplished in Judge Aulls’ chambers.

The meeting was concluded at 1:15 o’clock p.m.
