A special MEETING OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS
august 14, 1975
The Lake County Board of County Commissioners convened in special session on Thursday, August 14, 1975, at 2:15 p.m., in the Commissioners’ Room, Courthouse, Tavares, Florida. Present were: Jim Hoskinson, Chairman; Thomas J. Windram; C.A. “Lex” Deems; Glenn C. Burhans; and James R. Carson, Jr. Others present were: Doris Babb, Deputy-in-Charge of the Finance Department.
On a motion by Commr. Carson, seconded by Commr. Burhans and carried unanimously, the Board approved payment to Sandy Acres in the amount of $11,094.32 from the Escrow Account of Kings Cove.
On a motion by Commr. Carson, seconded by Commr. Deems and carried unanimously, the Board proposed a millage increase to 3.97 for the 1975 taxing year which exceeds the Property Appraiser’s certified millage of 2.58 and authorized a Notice of Tax Increase be published in the Daily Commercial on August 18 stating a public hearing will be held on August 26, 1975 at 5:15 p.m. in the Commissioners Room, Courthouse, Tavares, Florida.
There being no further business to be brought before the Board, the meeting was adjourned at 2:30 p.m.
