A special MEETING OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS

august 5, 1976

The Lake County Board of County Commissioners convened in Special Session on Thursday, August 5, 1976, at 3:15 P.M. in the Board of County Commissioners’ Room, Courthouse, Tavares, Florida.  Present were: Thomas Windram, Chairman; C.A. Deems, J.M. Hoskinson, Glenn C. Burhans and James Carson, Jr.  Others present were: James C. Watkins, Clerk and Andrea Gambrell, Deputy Clerk.

Mr. Watkins reported to the Board that Mr. Ford, County Attorney, had been informed that Royal Trails was in the process of constructing roads within this subdivision with materials that did not meet County specifications.  It was requested that the Board approved for the County Attorney’s Office to proceed to obtain an injunction to hault the construction of these roads.  On a motion by Commr. Carson, seconded by Commr. Deems and carried unanimously, the Board directed the County Attorney to obtain an injunction to stop the above mentioned road construction by Royal Trails.

At this time, the Chairman stated that he had been informed of this situation and that he and the County Attorney had scheduled a meeting with representatives from Royal Trails for Friday, August 6, 1976 to discuss the matter.

There being no further business to be brought before the Board the meeting adjourned at 3:30 P.M.
