SPECIAL BUDGET MEETING

JULY 31, 1979

            The Lake County Board of County Commissioners convened in Special Budget Meeting on Tuesday, July 31, 1979, at 1:30 P.M. in the Board of County Commissioners' Meeting Room, Courthouse, Tavares, Florida. Commissioners present were: Thomas J. Windram, Chairman; C. A. "Lex" Deems; Glenn C. Burhans; and James R. Carson, Jr. Others present were: Donald W. Smalt, Deputy in Charge of the Fiscal Division; and Pat Goetzen.

            ROADS - COUNTY, STATE

            On a motion by Commr. Deems, seconded by Commr. Carson and carried, the board approved to release the amount of $4,199.46 to Ocala Pavers, Inc. for payment of stabilization and clearing tree removal on Canal Drive, Springs Bath and Yacht Club, and recommended a hold on any release of funds for limerock, subject to completion of work and inspection by County Engineer.

            BUDGETS - SHERIFF'S DEPARTMENT

            On a motion by Commr. Carson and seconded by Commr. Deems, the Board approved the budget for the Sheriff's Department in the total amount of $1,831,139.00.

            There being no further business to be brought to the attention of the Board, adjournment was at 3:45 P.M.
