The Lake County Board of County Commissioners met in special session on Tuesday, November 22, 1994, at 6:30 p.m., in the Board of County Commissioner's Meeting Room, Lake County Administration Building, Tavares, Florida. Commissioners present at the meeting were: Catherine C. Hanson, Chairman; Welton G. Cadwell, Vice Chairman; Richard Swartz, Jr.; Rhonda H. Gerber; and William "Bill" H. Good. Others present were: James C. Watkins, Clerk; Barbara Lehman, Chief Deputy, Finance and Audit Department; Frank T. Gaylord, County Attorney; Pete Wahl, County Manager; Ava Kronz, BCC Office Manager; and Toni M. Riggs, Deputy Clerk.

INVESTITURE

Mr. James C. Watkins, Clerk, opened the meeting and welcomed those present.

Commr. Cadwell gave the Invocation, and Commr. Gerber led the Pledge of Allegiance.

Mr. Watkins acknowledged the presence of all State and local representatives, including School Board members, and City officials, and former Commissioner, Mr. Don Bailey.

At this time, Mr. Watkins administered the Oath of Office to Commr. Hanson, who was accompanied by her daughter, Leslie, and Commr. Good, who was accompanied by his wife, Sandra.

Mr. Hal Turville made a presentation to Commr. Good in behalf of the Conservation Council, and Ms. Shirley Grantham, Ms. Joan McCall, and Mr. Billy Spikes made a presentation to Commr. Hanson.

At this time, the Commissioners introduced their family members who were present at the meeting.

Commr. Good and Commr. Hanson presented comments reflecting future aspirations for Lake County.

There being no further business to be brought to the attention of the Board, the meeting was adjourned at 6:53 p.m.
