LAKE COUNTY VALUE ADJUSTMENT BOARD MEETING

OCTOBER 15, 1996

The Lake County Value Adjustment Board met in regular session on Thursday, October 15, 1996, at 8:45 a.m., in the Board of County Commissioner's Meeting Room, Lake County Administration Building, Tavares, Florida. Commissioners present at the meeting were: William "Bill" H. Good, Vice Chairman and Commr. Catherine C. Hanson. School Board members present were: Tom Chapman. Others present were Sanford "Sandy" Minkoff, County Attorney; Frank Royce, Chief Deputy, Property Appraiser's Office; and Toni M. Riggs, Deputy Clerk.

VALUE ADJUSTMENT BOARD

It was noted that Commr. Cadwell, Chairman, as well as Ms. Kyleen Fisher, Lake County School Board, would not be present for the meeting, due to a prior commitments, and Commr. Good would be serving in the capacity of Chairman of the Value Adjustment Board (VAB).

MINUTES

On a motion by Mr. Chapman, seconded by Commr. Hanson and carried unanimously by a 3-0 vote, the VAB approved the Minutes of October 2, 1996, as presented.

On a motion by Commr. Hanson, seconded by Mr. Chapman and carried unanimously by a 3-0 vote, the VAB approved the Minutes of October 3, 1996, as presented.

TAX ROLL

On a motion by Commr. Hanson, seconded by Mr. Chapman and carried unanimously by a 3-0 vote, the VAB approved the Certificate of Value Adjustment Board, pursuant to Section 193.122, Florida Statutes, Lake County, Florida 1996 Tax Roll, for Real Property in the amount of $4,627,450,425.

On a motion by Mr. Chapman, seconded by Commr. Hanson and carried unanimously by a 3-0 vote, the VAB approved the Certificate of Value Adjustment Board, pursuant to Section 193.122, Florida Statutes, Lake County, Florida 1996 Tax Roll, for Tangible Personal Property, in the amount of $844,873,368.

On a motion by Commr. Hanson, seconded by Mr. Chapman and carried unanimously by a 3-0 vote, the VAB approved to authorize the appropriate signatures on the Certificates of Value Adjustment Board.

On a motion by Commr. Hanson, seconded by Mr. Chapman and carried unanimously by a 3-0 vote, the VAB approved to advertise the Notice of Tax Impact of Value Adjustment Board for Tax Year 1996.

MEETINGS

Mr. Sandy Minkoff, County Attorney, informed the VAB that it would not technically adjourn, because there may be petitions that would come later in the month.

There being no further business to be brought to the attention of the VAB, the meeting recessed, until further notice, at 9 a.m.
