MINUTES OF called MEETING OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY commissioners

 monday, april 30, 1956

 

The Board of County Commissioners met in called session in the Clerk’s Office at the Courthouse on Monday, April 30 at 2:00 a.m. for the purpose of appointing Appraisers on Road S-40, with the following present:  Chairman Singeltary and Commissioners Cowart, Lightfoot, and Simpson.

Mr. Owens having reported at the regular meeting on April 2^nd that he had received from the State Road Department Right of Way map on Job 1114-105, State Road 40 (Marion County Line to Astor) for having a title search prepared and had delivered the map to Lake Abstract & Guaranty Company to prepare the title search, on a motion by Commr. Lightfoot, seconded by Commr. Simpson and carried, the following named persons were appointed Appraisers to approve the value of rights of way to be obtained on Job 1114-105, State Road 40 – Marion County Line to Astor:  W. I. Carlton, Herbert Babb, and E. Carlton Huey.
