MINUTES OF the special MEETING OF BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS
monday – may 26, 1960
The Board of County Commissioners met in special session in the office of the Clerk of the Circuit Court in the Courthouse at Tavares on Thursday, May 26, for the purpose of considering quotations on three air conditioners - 1 for the combination workshop of the Tax Assessor and Tax Collector; 1 for the Photostat room; 1 for the office of Mr. Owens’ secretary.; and such other business as may be brought before the Board, with the following present: Commissioners Theus, Cowart, Bishop and Simpson; and Clerk Owens.
In the absence of Chairman Cross, Mr. Theus, Acting Chairman, called the Board to order.
Clerk Owens read the quotations as follows:
BUTLER ELECTRIC COMPANY - Eustis
One 1-HP and Two 2-HP Air Conditions, installed (All three) $952.85
All 3 are Fedders and carry the 5 year warranty.
LENHART-PAYNE ELECTRIC - LEESBURG
(2) Two AI-200-02-2-Ton Imperial Frigidaire Air Conditioners with a 16,500 BTU
cooling per hour each
(1) ACD-100-02 Custom Delume Frigidaire Air Conditioner, with 8000 BTU cooling
per hour
Delivered and installed Net price $1,106.80

1 Model AS 100L-01 $199.95
Install 3 Units $ 76.00
TOTAL - $1,020.65
Motion by Commr. Simpson, seconded by Commr. Bishop, and carried, the bid of BUTLER ELECTRIC COMPANY to furnish Lake County One 1-HP and Two 2-HP Air Conditioners, delivered and installed for the sum of $952.85 be accepted.
