MINUTES OF SPECIAL MEETING OF BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS on
tuesday – september 22, 1964
The Board of County Commissioners met in special session in the Clerk’s Office in the Courthouse at Tavares on Tuesday, September 22, 1964, at 3:00 o’clock P.M. with the following being present:
Vice Chairman Livingston, Commrs. Cowart, Theus and Dykes and Clerk Owens. Chairman Babb was out of town.
The Vice Chairman said the purpose of this special meeting is to enter into Lease-Purchase Agreement between the Florida Development Commission and the State Road Department covering road projects in Lake County. Whereupon, on motion of Commr. Theus, seconded by Commr. Dykes and unanimously carried, a resolution was adopted pledging the 80% surplus gasoline tax funds occurring to the State Road Department for use in Lake County for rental payments under the Lease-Purchase Agreement and the Vice Chairman and Clerk were authorized to execute said agreement and endorsement of same by the County.
