MINUTES OF REGULAR MEETING OF BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS on
MONDAY – November 23, 1964
The Board of County Commissioners met in a special session in the office of the Clerk in the Courthouse at Tavares on Monday, November 23, 1964, at 1:30 o’clock P.M. for the purpose of meeting with representatives of the Soil Conservation Service.
The meeting was called to order by the Chairman with the following present:
Chairman Babb, Commrs. Theus, Cowart and Dykes; Clerk Owens and Attorney Duncan and two representatives from the Soil Conservation Service.
Following a discussion of a working agreement with the Soil Conservation Service and Lake County for an accelerated program of soil survey of the county, motion was made by Commr. Theus, seconded by Commr. Dykes and carried, that agreement as presented by the Soil Conservation Service be accepted and the Chairman and Clerk were authorized to execute same.
There being no further business to bring before the Board, the meeting adjourned at 2:00 o’clock P.M.
