MINUTES OF SPECIAL MEETING OF BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS

THURSDAY – JULY 7, 1966

The Board of County Commissioners met in special session in the Commissioners’ Room in the Courthouse at Tavares on Thursday, July 7, 1966, at 9:00 o’clock A.M. for the purpose of considering the tentative budgets as presented by Clerk Frank E. Owens.

Chairman Theus called the meeting to order with the following present:  Chairman Theus, Commrs. Dykes, Livingston and Babb; Clerk Owens and Deputy Clerk Doris Babb.  Commr. Cowart was absent due to illness.

After considering the budgets as prepared by the Clerk, motion was made by Commr. Dykes to tentatively adopt the budgets and authorized the Clerk to advertise same to hear objections and complaints on July 25, 1966 at 9:00 o’clock A.M.  The motion was seconded by Commr. Livingston and unanimously carried.

There being no further business to bring before the Board, the meeting adjourned at 10:00 o’clock A.M.
