MINUTES OF special MEETING OF BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS
tuesday – january 16, 1968
The Board of County Commissioners met in special session in the Commissioners’ Room in the Courthouse, Tavares, Florida, on Tuesday, January 16, 1968, at 9:00 o’clock A.M. for the purpose of executing an agreement and adopting a resolution with Seaboard Coast Line Railroad Company, and any other business which might be brought before the Board.
The meeting was called to order by the Chairman with the following members present: Commissioners Theus, Cowart and Dykes. Others present were Clerk Owens and Deputy Clerk Norma H. Coven.
Contracts and agreements
An agreement was made between Lake County and Seaboard Coast Line Railroad Company covering the installation of a public road crossing over Seaboard Coast Line right-of-way and tracks at a point 303 feet west of Mile Post SF-811, near Okahumpka, Florida. A resolution was adopted approving this agreement.
There being no further business to bring before the Board, the meeting was adjourned at 10:00 A.M.
