MINUTES OF CALLED MEETING OF BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS
ThursDAY – february 27, 1969
The Board of County Commissioners met in called session in the Commissioners’ Room in the Courthouse, Tavares, Florida, on Thursday, February 27, 1969 at 8:30 o’clock A.M. to take further action relative to bid of Quaid Fence Co. of Fla., Inc. to furnish fencing and materials to the Lake County Fairgrounds.
The meeting was called to order by the Chairman with the following being present: Commr. Thomas J. Windram, Chairman; Commr. Alex J. Macdonell, Commr. J. M. Hoskinson and Commr. Kenneth VanAuken and Deputy Clerk Norma Coven. Commr. James R. Carson, Jr. was absent.
The Chairman stated the Quaid Fence Co. of Fla., Inc. still does not want to deliver the fencing materials under the original bid. Motion was made by Commr. Hoskinson instructing the County Attorney to advise Quaid Fence Co. Lake County is in urgent need of the material and delivery of same is expected immediately. The motion was seconded by Commr. VanAuken and carried.
On motion of Commr. Macdonell seconded by Commr. VanAuken and carried, the Board approved the purchase of approximately $700.00 sewer pipe needed to extend the sewer line at the Fairground.
There being no further business to bring before the Board, the meeting adjourned.
