MINUTES OF SPECIAL MEETING OF BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS
MONDAY – MAY 27, 1969
The Board of County Commissioners met in special session in the County Commissioners’ Room in the Courthouse, Tavares, Florida, on Tuesday, May 27, 1969, at 9:00 o’clock A.M. to receive budget requests for the Fiscal Year 1969-70.
The Chairman called the meeting to order with the following members present: Commissioner Thomas J. Windram, Chairman; Commissioners Alex J. Macdonell, J. M. Hoskinson and Kenneth VanAuken. Others present were County Attorney C. E. Duncan, Clerk of Circuit Court Frank E. Owens, and Deputy Doris Babb.
Chairman Windram filed a letter from James R. Carson, Jr., District No. 1 stating the reason for his absence today is to attend a funeral out-of-state.
Budget requests were heard in accordance with the schedule prepared by the Clerk and all interested parties were advised the requests will be considered and if further consultation is necessary, the parties will be notified to appear at a later date.
There being no further business to bring before the Board, the meeting adjourned.
