MINUTES OF REGULAR MEETING OF the BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS
MONDAY – NOVEMBER 19, 1970
The Board of County Commissioners of Lake County, Florida, convened in special session in the County Commissioners’ Room. Courthouse, Tavares, Florida, on Thursday, November 19, 1970, at 1:00 o’clock P.M. for the purpose of considering proposal for bonding Lake County’s race track funds.
The Chairman called the meeting to order with the following Board members present: Chairman Carson, Commrs. Alex J. Macdonell, J. M. Hoskinson, Thomas J. Windram, and Kenneth VanAuken. Also in attendance were: County Attorney Christopher C. Ford, Clerk of Circuit Court Frank E. Owens and Deputy Clerk Norma H. Coven.

After discussing a proposed contract with Stone & Youngberg, Municipal Financing Consultants, to act as the Fiscal Agent to handle the financing of Certificates of Indebtedness not to exceed two Million Dollars ($2,000,000.00), said certificates to be payable from race track funds accruing annually to Lake County, the Chairman was authorized to execute the contract on motion of Commr. Macdonell, seconded by Commr. Windram and carried.
There being no further business to bring before the Board, the meeting adjourned
