MINUTES OF special MEETING OF BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS

MARCH 29, 1973

A special meeting of the Board of County Commissioners of Lake County, Florida was held on Thursday, March 29, 1973 in the Department of Public Works, Tavares, Florida at 8:30 a.m. to consider the purchase of video tape equipment and accessories before April 1, 1973 when the price change becomes effective and to discuss any other business which may be brought before the Board.

The meeting convened with the following members present:  C. A. Deems, Chairman; J. M. Hoskinson; Glenn C. Burhans; James R. Carson, Jr.; and Thomas J. Windram.  James C. Watkins, Clerk of the Circuit Court was present.  The press was notified of the meeting.

On a motion by Commr. Carson, seconded by Commr. Burhans and unanimously carried, the Board authorized the purchase of Sony video tape equipment and accessories from Lykes Electronic Corporation, Orlando, for a total cost of $2,876.55 for use by BCC departments.

On a motion by Commr. Burhans, seconded by Commr. Windram and unanimously carried, the Board approved payment to Crawler Rail and Roller Company, Dade City, in the amount of $1,397.16 for repairs to the dragline.

On a motion by Commr. Windram, seconded by Commr. Carson and unanimously carried, the regular Board of County Commissioners’ meeting scheduled for April 3, 1973 was cancelled.

There being no further business to bring before the Board and on the motion of Commr. Carson, seconded by Commr. Windram and unanimously carried, the meeting was adjourned.
