A SPECIAL MEETING OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS

june 27, 1978

The Lake County Board of County Commissioners convened in Special Session on Tuesday, June 27, 1978 during a Budget Workshop in the Conference Room of the New Courthouse, Tavares, Florida.  Present were:  James R. Carson, Jr., Chairman; C.A. “Lex” Deems; J.M. Hoskinson; Thomas J. Windram, and Glenn C. Burhans.  Others present were:  James C. Watkins, Clerk; Donald Smalt, Deputy in Charge of Finance; Christopher C. Ford, County Attorney; and Sherry Puckett, Deputy Clerk.

Commr. Hoskinson informed the Board that an emergency existed in that the roof over the Property Appraiser and Tax Collector had leaks.

On a motion by Commr. Hoskinson, seconded by Commr. Burhans and carried unanimously, it was declared that an emergency existed and authorization was given to proceed to have a Mr. Bill Smith make the necessary hot tar repairs at a cost not to exceed $400.00.

No other business requiring Board action was brought up at this time.
