PROPERTY APPRAISAL ADJUSTMENT BOARD

september 12, 1978

The Property Appraisal Adjustment Board met in Special Session on September 12, 1978, at 9:00 a.m. in the Commissioners’ Room, Courthouse, Tavares, Florida. Members present: Commr. James R. Carson, Jr., Chairman; Commr. Glenn C. Burhans; Commr. C. A. “Lex” Deems; and School Board Member Joan Brown. Others present were: Christopher Ford, County Attorney; and Shirley Wilson, Deputy Clerk.

School Board Member Mr. Donald Longworth arrived at 9:10 a.m.

After a short discussion regarding the action on Petitions 1978-A, 1978-E and 1978-B, the Chairman called for a motion to approve the Minutes of August 25, 1978. On a motion by Commr. Burhans, seconded by Mrs. Brown, the Minutes of the Property Appraisal Adjustment Board on August 25, 1978 were approved unanimously.

No one appeared before the Board regarding this Petition.

ACTION: The Chairman read into the records the attachment to this Petition.

On a motion by Commr. Burhans, seconded by Mrs. Brown and carried unanimously by those present, the Board denied a hearing for this Petition due to the untimely filing.

Commr. Carson then asked the County Attorney when it would be necessary for the Board to meet to approve the Minutes of September 12, 1978. The County Attorney advised the Board that they could approve the Minutes of September 12, 1978 without the School Board Members being in attendance, unless there were Petitions to be acted upon, or if they were in disagreement with the Minutes.

On a motion by Mrs. Brown, seconded by Mr. Longworth and carried unanimously, the Board agreed to approve the Minutes of September 12, 1978 based on the above-mentioned conditions on September 19, 1978.

There being no further business, the Meeting was adjourned at 9:15 a.m.

On September 19, 1978, the three County Commissioners who served on the Property Appraisal Board met in Special Session and approved the above Minutes.

There being no further business to be brought before the Board, the meeting adjourned at 9:15 a.m.
