A SPECIAL MEETING OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS

FEBRUARY 9, 1982

The Lake County Board of County Commissioners acting as the Lake County Housing Finance Authority met in special session on Tuesday, February 9, 1982, at 8:45 A.M. in the County Commissioners' Meeting Room, Tavares, Florida. Commissioners present were: James R. Carson, Jr., Chairman; Thomas J. Windram; Claude Smoak; C. A. "Lex" Deems; and Glenn C. Burhans. Others present were: James C. Watkins, Clerk; Christopher C. Ford, County Attorney; Sandra Stockwell, County Attorney's Office; and Mary Grover, Secretary.

The Invocation was given by Mr. Watkins and the Pledge of Allegiance was led by Commr. Burhans.

At this time the Chairman announced that each Commissioner was assigned a Boy Scout in participation with the Boy Scouts in Government Day. Each Boy Scout introduced himself and announced which Commissioner he was assigned to.

The Chairman announced a special meeting had been called to discuss the Housing Finance Authority. Sandra Stockwell, County Attorney's Office, informed the Board she and Mike Willett, Development & Public Works Director, had attended a Housing Finance Authority meeting in Orange County. She stated Orange County authorized their attorney to negotiate with Lake County for purposes of entering into an interlocal agreement for Orange County to administer the Lake County Housing Finance Authority Bond Issues.

Ms. Stockwell stated the order of business for the Housing Finance Authority is to pass a Resolution, required by the Governor's Executive Order, showing the intent of the Lake County Housing Finance Authority to issue a single family bond issue this year.

On a motion by Commr. Smoak, seconded by Commr. Windram and carried unanimously, the Board adopted the Resolution as presented by Ms. Stockwell, County Attorney's Office.

There being no further business to be brought before the Board, the meeting adjourned at 9:00 A.M.
