The Lake County Board of County Commissioners met in special session on Tuesday, November 19, 1996, at 6:30 p.m., in the Board of County Commissioner's Meeting Room, on the second floor of the Lake County Administration Building, Tavares, Florida. Commissioners present at the meeting were: Welton G. Cadwell, Chairman; William "Bill" H. Good, Vice Chairman; G. Richard Swartz, Jr.; Catherine C. Hanson; and Rhonda H. Gerber. Others present were: Sue Whittle, County Manager; Sanford (Sandy) A. Minkoff, County Attorney; James C. Watkins, Clerk; Ava Kronz, Assistant to the County Manager, Board of County Commissioners; Barbara Lehman, Chief Deputy, County Finance; and Sandra Carter, Deputy Clerk.

INVOCATION AND PLEDGE

Commr. Good gave the Invocation and Commr. Hanson led the Pledge of Allegiance.

APPOINTMENTS-RESIGNATIONS/COMMISSIONERS

Mr. James C. Watkins, Clerk, presided over the Investiture of the reelected County Commissioners. He presented welcoming remarks and administered the Oath of Office to Commr. Rhonda H. Gerber; Commr. G. Richard Swartz, Jr.; and Commr. Welton G. Cadwell.

Commr. Cadwell thanked Mr. Watkins, Clerk, for presiding over the Investiture and thanked Sheriff George E. Knupp, Jr. for being present and for the relationship that the Board has with him.

The reelected Commissioners gave some brief remarks and introduced their families and friends to those present.

Commr. Cadwell thanked everyone for coming and invited them to partake in the refreshments that had been provided for them.

There being no further business to be brought to the attention of those present, the meeting was adjourned at 6:50 p.m.
