The Lake County Value Adjustment Board met in special session on Friday, October 24, 1997, at 8:52 a.m., in the Board of County Commissioner's Meeting Room, Lake County Administration Building, Tavares, Florida. Commissioners present at the meeting were: William "Bill" H. Good, Chairman, (Commr. Good was not present due to a prior commitment); Richard Swartz, Vice Chairman; and Rhonda H. Gerber. School Board members present were: Kyleen Fischer and Jimmy Conner (Mr. Conner was not present due to a prior commitment). Others present were: Valerie Fuchs, Assistant County Attorney; Frank Royce, Chief Appraiser; and Barbara Lehman, Chief Deputy Clerk.

CERTIFICATE OF VALUE ADJUSTMENT BOARD

Commr. Swartz informed the VAB that they were present to review and approve the Certificate of Value Adjustment Board for tangible personal property and real property.

On a motion by Commr. Gerber, seconded by Ms. Fischer and carried unanimously by a 3 - 0 vote, the VAB approved the Certificate of Value Adjustment Board for tangible personal property in the amount of $917,800,067.

On a motion by Commr. Gerber, seconded by Ms. Fischer and carried unanimously by a 3 - 0 vote, the VAB approved the Certificate of Value Adjustment Board for real property, with the exception of the pending hearings, in the amount of $4,966,505,786.

At this time, the VAB signed the Certificate of Value Adjustment Board for tangible personal property and real property.

There being no further issue to be brought to the attention of the VAB, the meeting recessed at 8:55 a.m. and would reconvene on October 30, 1997.
