Inspector General Auditor I: Under direct supervision of the Inspector General, Director, or Audit Manager, assists with identifying engagement level risks, assessing the design of internal controls, and completing and filing related workpapers. Arranges and facilitates meetings with stakeholders, including creating agendas and writing minutes. This position is classified as non-exempt from the overtime provisions of the Fair Labor Standards Act. This is a traditional, in-person position. Must have a Florida driver's license. Official Records Clerk: Under the direct supervision of a Senior Clerk, is responsible for the processing and recording of instruments, documents and judgments into the public records of Lake County, assisting the professional title searchers and public in their records research and/or processing the sale of tax deeds. The incumbent may perform one or more of these functions as assigned. This position is classified as non-exempt from the overtime provisions of the Fair Labor Standards Act. Must be able to type 35 correct words per minute. Applications for positions requiring a typing assessment will not be submitted until the typing assessment has been completed. Inspector General Auditor II: Under the direction of the Inspector General, Director, or Audit Manager, is responsible for planning, performing, and reporting on recurring and routine engagements, and risk and control consulting services. Assists with planning, executing, and reporting of more complex audits, consulting services, and investigations. Leads follow-up audits and acts as the system administrator for Inspector General applications. This position is classified as non-exempt from the overtime provisions of the Fair Labor Standards Act. This is a traditional, in-person position. Must have a Florida driver's license. Starts at $27.78 per hour ($54,171.00 annually). Open until closed.

Employment
The Clerk’s Office accepts applications for open positions only. Human Resources will keep applications on file for six months from the date originally submitted. After six months, you must submit a new employment application to account for changes and updates.
Applicants must meet the minimum qualifications to be considered for open positions. It is the applicant’s responsibility to notify Human Resources of their desire to have their application considered for an open position. To be considered for employment, applicants must complete an application. Applicants must notify Human Resources of open position(s) for which they would like to be considered. One application can be submitted for multiple open positions. Resumes will only be accepted with a completed employment application.
There are three ways to receive an employment application:

- Pick-up an Employment Application at the Lake County Courthouse, 550 W. Main St., North Wing, Third Floor, Tavares, 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday.
All applications, including required typing assessments, must be received in the Clerk’s Human Resources Office before the position closes to be considered.

A representative from the Human Resources Office reviews all applications, confirms receipt thererof, and informs applicants if additional information or a typing test is required for the position.
Typing Tests:
A Human Resources representative will provide information regarding test administration upon receipt of a completed application for employment. Preliminary typing tests can be taken remotely for submission with an employment application. Minimum typing requirements must be met in order to be considered for those positions requiring typing skills. As a condition of an offer of employment, applicants must take a typing test administered at the Clerk’s Human Resources Office, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday (excluding holidays). Please note that it is the applicant's responsibility to arrange to take the typing test.
